Meet Me- Melanie Shobha (Licensed Counsellor)
I am Melanie Shobha a licensed counsellor and an educator. I started my career being an educator in school. In my experience I came across students and parents facing difficulties which varied from parenting issues to children’s social, emotional and learning difficulties.

At that moment of time, I felt it was important for me to study about human behaviour in order to help people. I had completed Masters in Education (specialisation in Educational Psychology), where I studied some aspect about psychology and philosophy. To further my interest, I pursued Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Masters in Counselling.

I began my counselling career by volunteering at Befrienders (Suicide Prevention helpline). I have experience working with individuals, couples and teenagers, I am also certified play therapy practitioner working with children below 12 years. I am passionate about helping people and contribute to the community.

As a Therapist, I am here to look into your needs, provide a safe and secured environment with assured confidentiality and positive regard.
